About us
Fortress Rock Investment is a wholly Malawian-owned agribusiness dedicated to strengthening the resilience of local communities by implementing business development processes, infrastructure, and people-oriented small businesses. We focus on creating employment opportunities on both full-time and part-time bases, particularly for women and youth. Our farm operates year-round on 55 hectares of high water table land, ideal for irrigation. This fertile land supports a diverse range of crops, promoting biodiversity and enhancing soil fertility. In addition to crop cultivation, the farm integrates sustainable practices that contribute to environmental conservation and community well-being. Through these efforts, it aims to drive economic growth, improve livelihoods, and foster sustainable agricultural practices in the region.
Where we are
The farm is 60Ha of multiple cropping agribusiness that was registered in September 2021 located in Mtachi Village, T.A Mwadzama in Nkhotakota. It borders with Chambidzi Primary school towards the west and Chambidzi River on the Northern part and Chief Kwendanguwo's farm on the East and main boundary towards the south is the main road to Chambidzi primary school. The main workforce comes from Mtachi Village.
Our Operations
Fortress Rock Investment has an inclusive business model. It works with a network of smallholder farmers whom it supports them through activities like trainings on good agricultural practices after which they are given nursery seedling for planting and as an alternate farmers establish their own nursery; Fortress Rock Investment give them the capacity how to manage their own farms.

Partnership and Strategic Alliances
Fortress Rock Investment has entered into a strategic alliance to work with Planetarium Institute which will provide ongoing business and technical backstopping support. A formal alliance agreement will be signed by all parties.
